I don't think the image of the service would have held up if you needed to install a game almost every time you wanted to play it.Terms and Conditions of EZVIZ CloudPlay Services It was a LOT of workload for them to take on for a minor improvement IMO, I'm sure many would prefer more game selection.Įdit: However there is a big difference between "Click and play" and "Click and wait for install then play" (while using up your session time on top of that). but I suspect they did it to avoid a legal hurdle. Perhaps they simply did this to improve the user experience.

They needed to start managing each game across their network and ensure that before a game went "live" it was installed and ready to go everywhere. When everything happened and pubs pulled out, and they switched to the "Opt In" method, I think NVidia had no choice but to take ownership of the install process so that this was not simply an open VM platform like Shadow. And I think games would get "bumped out" to clear up storage as needed. It usually only took a few seconds or minutes, but you still had to press the install and wait to finish like a standard Steam install (not sure about Epic). I'm pretty sure in the beginning, if a game wasn't installed on the VM you connected to, then YOU installed it. I think it has to do with how they shifted gears on how game distribution is handled on GFN.
